Regina Murphy who writes “Murphy’s Menu” for the Emporia Gazette hosted a pie contest at this afternoon’s Farmers Market. There were 9, 10, 11 pies, I don’t know, I didn’t count. Tables in Emporia were loaded today with lots of color, lots of green leafy things. I brought home spinach, lettuce,  beets, new potatoes, buffalo and …. blueberry scones and a chocolate croissant.
