Tracy Simmons is making purchases from Jim Wallace at this morning’s Farmers Market. I bought eggs from Jim – and some barbecued ribs for supper.
Next Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Jim and Marilyn Wallace will be at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve with their farm animals. They’ll have a petting zoo for Children’s Ranch Day.
All events at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve are free. There is no admission fee to the park. (Read more about the Tallgrass Preserve in my recent column.)
There’s Rand Simmons and Munchkin girl. They are both in official capacity today. Rand is a market volunteer – with a clipboard and Munchkin is a Veggie Valet – she helps people carry their purchases to their cars.
Harold Brenzikofer has healthy produce and plants for sale.
Bob Karr, the apple man, sells asparagus, rhubarb, honey and apple cider.

Well, Steve is wearing an attractive, neon chartreuse vest. Prolly anyone with one of those one could practically go naked in the middle of Winter and be warm.
I missed it again! I kept doing “one more little thing” at home and when I got there at 9:40, it was over! 🙁
