Dave and I found our way earlier this week to El Paisa, 1406 Industrial in Emporia. Not too long ago this place was Fat Chuys. It still looks the same, and much of the menu is the same, but they’ve added tacos to the mostly-burrito menu. Since we had burritos when it was Fat Chuys, we both had tacos this time.
These are small tacos, about 5″ in diameter. This one has added cilantro and jalepeno from the condiment bar, but they just come with the tortilla and meat. I had the ground beef and they were very tasty. And Dave liked his tacos, too. He also had the tamale.
Are there new owners? The menu is so similar that I thought maybe it was just a name change, but wasn’t sure.
I will have to try the tacos next time. I love their breakfast burritos!!
Not sure, Heather. I would assume new owners with the name change, but I don’t know.
