OK, so August was a really busy month with author events and other things and I thought, September will be easier. But then September turned out to be a really busy month, too, and I thought, well, in October I can relax a bit.

Then October turned out to be a busier month than I had scheduled and also in October I started working out at a gym and that’s added 30-60-90 minutes of time to my daily schedule and – then once November started edging into my mind, I decided to do NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. During NaNo, writers from all over the world spend their days and nights writing approximately 1,700 words a day to write a 50K word novel in 30 days.

I did NaNo in 2009. This year, however, I decided instead of writing a novel, that I’d learn about short story writing, so I’m trying to write my 50K words in the form of short stories, averaging one short story a day.

So, that’s where I am these days, spending too much time at the gym or at the computer writing short stories. And not much time here. If I miss a day or two on the blog, please forgive me, I’m just lost in my imaginary world.

  1. I’m hoping to “relax” a bit, too, but haven’t figure out my approach (if any) to NaNo. If I don’t get going tonight, I’m officially 3 days behind. Looking forward to hearing how your short story endeavors go.
