I had a reading in Kansas City last Saturday. Afterward, I had lunch with my friend Amy. We went to the Holy Land Cafe in Lenexa. I had the appetizer platter with pita bread. Mmmm.
This wasn’t my first trip to the Holy Land. I was here once before.
Here’s their website: Holy Land Cafe.
To show this delicious plate is torture.
How interesting! Is it Israeli food? What all is on your plate there? Is that hummus?
Oh, let’s see… hummus at 12:00, a cucumber/parsley/tomato salad at 3:00, baba ghanoush (sp?) at 6, and a parsley-laden tabouleh at 9. In the center are falafel, dolmas and one tiny spinach triangle.
It’s Middle Eastern food, don’t know myself if any foods are specific to any certain countries.
I’ve added a link to the restaurant’s website. http://holylandcafe.com/
Mmm, that looks good!
Time flies by like a sheep running through the moors, more than thirty years ago I have been a kibbutz volunteer.
