  1. Windwagons? Did the stamp designers forget the windwagons? Windwagon Smith, but there were several others. We’ve got the old windmills and the wind-farm turbine, but the stamp would have been more historically accurate with a wagon and full-blown sales.

  2. I looked up the stamp after reading Tom’s article this morning. Meh. It’s just a little blah, a little lacking in…something. Maybe I’m comparing it to the state seal too much. We have such an awesome state seal with so much going on. The stamp just feels empty in comparison, I guess.

  3. Just like the state quarters, very cliche. But I always enjoy reading Tom’s blog though – “On any horizon, in any direction, one sees a dozen towers, and more appear daily, spreading like a toxic virus. Intrusive, ugly, lethal to migrating birds, they’re a blight upon our land, and we seem powerless to hinder their progress.” – ain’t it the truth. Where I am in VA, at least they are usually blocked by trees and hills, so they aren’t as easy to see. By the way, happy 150th anniversary, Kansas.
