Susie Haver and Tammy Britt of Cloud County Tourism hosted my book-signing this afternoon at their office, but earlier today we enjoyed a great lunch at the Huckleberry Tea Room at 512 State in Concordia.
Yes.
It’s a great place.
I want this restaurant and these people in Emporia.
I had the quiche. Yum. A small salad and soup came with it and bread and grapes. Fabulous meal.
Tiramisu. I had never had it, so that’s what I ordered. I want more.
Tammy had the lemon cake. She not only let me photograph it, she let me sample it. Mmmm.
And what’s a tea room without hats?
My huckleberry friends and me.

:ooks like you had a great time in a great place.
I loved that hat on you Cheryl. It was made just for you. I agree, we need them – the business and the people in Emporia. How do we go about doing this? 🙂
Looks like a fun place, great food & nice people!
OK, another one for my ever-growing wish list. What, you never had tiramisu before? Ah…now I want some, too. Oh, the power of suggestion…
What fun! I like the “huckleberry” friends!
