Was on KVOE this morning, a live interview. I didn’t do very well, but I did it nevertheless. Writing is my first language. Speaking is not. I’ve only done a few of these live interviews – started when the book came out about a month ago. Maybe I’ll get better as time goes on.
KVOE newsman Jeff O’Dell
Cheryl, I have heard you speak. On NPR. You have a very rich, resonant voice. Much like the Kansas from which you hail. I am sure you did far better than your self-criticism tells you now. Tell Jeff to move to Dallas so I can listen in! EFH
Expat, reading an essay is easy. Answering random questions and sounding intelligent – not easy, at least not for me.
I tried to listen online but didn’t have the right programs on my computer and was getting busy. I remember the first time I did it and how I felt. I now have done around a dozen over the last several years. It is fun, though I have always be part of a panel. Not solo.
Did you get call in questions? That rarely happens.
Jeff didn’t open it up to call-ins.
