Last week while hanging in Great Bend with my mom and brother, we made a trip to Newton to visit Mennonite Press – to turn in the proofs to my book and make a few changes on them. We didn’t find a place for breakfast until we got to Sterling (Rice County.) I’d been to Paddy’s before and was glad it was still here – ’cause we were hungry!

Yes, last week I got caught up on bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. (And yesterday, I got back into my exercise routine.)

It was good, by the way. Breakfast out tastes so much better than eating in. Maybe because I never cook bacon and hashbrowns at home.

  1. Bacon at home is messy cleanup, and hash browns are hard to get right. I’m with you, breakfast is one of my favorite meals to eat out. If you’re ever in Lawrence in the morning, try Milton’s on Mass. Some pretty yummy omelettes!
