Last night, Dave and I went to a chili and soup supper at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. This snow-packed sunflower added a bit of Kansas Day to the event.
I went for the potato soup while Dave enjoyed the chili.
Coconut cream pie. Mmmm.
But the highlight of the event was when one of the hosts, our dear friend Ele, came to sit and visit with us for awhile.
that was fun! I’m so glad you did come and I had that same piece of pie. Oh, so good–the lady who makes that pie also made all the cornbread and is a great cook/baker! I was surprised that we had a pretty good crowd, considering the lovely weather. (now, delete that photo!)
Chili and coconut cream pie. Almost makes the cold weather worth it, huh? I am getting hungry just looking at these pictures. Time to break out the Dutch oven again! EFH
Ummmmmm… !! Yep…!! Nothing like a bowl of chili on a snowcovered day to warm the soul… except… a bowl of real-down-home-Texas Red..(con no frijoles!!).. hahah..!! Heat up that Dutch Oven EFH, I be down in a jiffy..!!
Boy, that pie is sure looking tasty..!!
