Smokey's

It was a little early for supper last Saturday when we were driving home from Kansas City, but we felt a need to cleanse our palate of the Ethiopian food we ate for lunch. Driving down the interstate, I was thinking of options: Smokey’s at Wellsville, Guy & Mae’s at Williamburg.

We pulled into Wellsville, a charming little town in Franklin County. Smokey’s is a place I had visited before with my friend Amy, but Dave hadn’t been here.

Yum. Pork sandwich, sweet potato fries. The dip had, I forget what all, but it had ranch dressing and dill.

Dave had ribs, fries, applesauce. The photo is small, not that his food matters less, but the picture was blurry, so I tinied it up.

The place was empty, but it was 4 p.m. Everyone was outside in the street at the Halloween costume contest.

  1. Cheryl, Dave’s basic nutrition is as important as yours. But if you have a picture with sweet potato fries in it, that definitely deserves to be showcased.

    But now I want some.
