Shoppers had a coolish morning for the annual sidewalk sale. It was a nice sidewalk sale today.
But my mind goes back to when I moved to town, many years ago, and they blocked off Commercial Street for the last-Wednesday-in-July sale. The street was full of merchandise. I loved Litwin’s and they had 1/2 of 1/2 sales. That was during a phase when I wore dresses and I bought some of the cutest things – at great prices.
Stanley Jewelry.
And/or fruit.
Jim’s back! Jim Wallace has been busy with other things the past two months – and his fans and friends have missed him. Today, he was back with the eggs (brown) and the buffalo, hamburger and veggies. (And thanks, Jim, for sending Tracy after me – she had cookies!)
European Bake Shop sells some goodies to our dear Kim (and Gary), who are sadly moving away. Lucky Ohio.
One of several corn and canteloupe cantaloupe (thank you, spell checker) vendors today.
Cookies, courtesy of Kamen, the baker (and Tracy – she delivered them, and Evie – she helped Kamen bake them.) I’ll give these cookies a blue ribbon! Very good.
You wore dresses?
It was a beautiful day to be out and about in Emporia yesterday.
Laughing. Yes. I went through this freakishly not-me stage when I wore a lot of dresses. That’s when I worked in the courthouse and had my hair in ’80s perms. Eeeks.
There you go again! luring our farmers away from us! I have yet to catch up with them.
