Behind the Greenwood Hotel in Eureka, I found these old places. What grabbed my attention was the tree. Old downtowns used to have big trees right close to the businesses. I like that. Most downtowns these days are so stark – all cement and brick.

What is it about Kansas that continues to mystify me? I love this stuff. It is so other-worldly, especially when I look at it from the perspective of the City of Dead Air (Dallas). Thanks for showing, regularly, the reality of cities that still live….
