The Methodists in Olpe served a German meal tonight in their fellowship hall.
This is Dave’s plate – with the saurkraut and/or sauerbraten up front.
I went with the saurkraut-free option. Starting at 9:00, that’s hot German potato salad (oh, very good), cole slaw, whole wheat bread (I took a bite before I took a photo) and in front, a yummy bierock.
There were desserts. Dave had peach pie, I had an incredible German cake, but neither photographed well.
Food fun continues tomorrow morning in Olpe with biscuits and gravy.
And the street lights and the sky were glowing as we got back into Emporia.
