Hey, this is the kind of December weather I can enjoy. At 10:12 this morning in Alma, it was already 58. It was probably a record-breaking day of warmth in the region. Dave and I headed up Manhattan way for a dinner with his kinfolk.

Nancy prepares the ham for slicing.

For dessert: lemon pie. There was also apple, cherry and mincemeat. And cookies, fudge, brownies, cheese and crackers.

There was some little-girl energy in the house.

Desserts were offered.

A decision was made.

  1. The dollhouse was brought out for the visitors, it wasn’t their Christmas present. I didn’t look closely at the dolls, so don’t know if they’re vintage.

Yes, they are cute little girls!

  2. The little girl and the brownie pictures, well that’s adorable. Was she waiting and holding back her little hands until they were offered? Or was she examinining them so she’d pick just the right one. I remember doing that as a child, checking out the brownies or cupcakes for the one I thought was just right.
