There’s a lot going on in Emporia on Saturday.

Downtown all day is the flea market – the Great American Market. And Chalkfest, I think.

At Las Casitas Park is the Mexican Fiesta.

There’s a home game at ESU.

And after that home game, from 4 – 8 p.m., behind Morse Hall and the Union at ESU, is one of my favorite annual events – The International Food Festival – foods prepared and sold by the international students and organizations at ESU.

You may be able to taste food from Japan, China, Korea, the Middle East, Africa, European nations. It’s always a great time.

Here are photos from last year’s event.

So, go to the other events and eat lunch there, but save room for a delicious food (served as dinners or ala carte) at the International Food Fest.

  1. Yum! Can we try more than one kind of food? Is it pay as you go for each different culture or is it one fee and you get any and all you want?
