… my stomach hurt.
The other Cheryl, Cheryl Patton, had us laughing this evening. That girl is wicked-funny.
There were old friends (Cheryl and Doris), new friends (Lisa and Gloria), a dog named Annie, pizza, salad – the greens from Cheryl’s garden, a little merlot, and a ride through the countryside in the back of a pickup (I suppose that’s illegal or something, but fun nonetheless.)
Anyway, we rode around the hills near Reading, a ditch tour, checking out wildflowers. And we saw deer and squirrels, vultures, bluebirds and mosquitoes, cattle that chased after the pickup, and one cowboy on a horse.
No wind! No rain! Cool air, no humidity, no tornadoes. It was one of the most lovely evenings on the face of the planet.
Just a few photos of the beauty of Kansas. Somewhere out near Reading, in Lyon County:
P.S. Hi to Mari!
Sounds like you had fun! Great snaps, doesn’t everything look so fresh and green?
Looks glorious… where is everyone?
Too many things going on this weekend. Beautiful weather here for a change.
Yeah, no people shots. Didn’t get good ones of us in the truck, so I just went with the landscapes.
