Sal McCloskey: Family, Art and Inspiration on Scott’s Island

C of E Room, Sauder Alumni Center, Emporia State University.

Join ESU Archives in welcoming Sal McCloskey, daughter of celebrated children’s book author Robert McCloskey, whose original children’s book illustrations are part of the University’s May Massee Collection.

Sal will offer a slide show presentation about her father’s art and family life on Scott’s Island, Maine.

The event is free and open to the public.

A soup and sandwich buffet will be available for $9.00

  1. I am to give Sal a tour of town late afternoon on th 8th. We’ll begin at Red Rocks, the White House State Historic Site, go south to the Howe House, to the zoo for a drive through, All Veterans Memorial, Peter Pan Park, up Commercial St. by the Granada and Gazette office, out to the Anderson Library and through ESU should conclude to tour.
