That gas station across the street from ESU, on 12th and Merchant, has a beautiful curbside flower garden too, just gorgeous.
Seems like I remember, a few years ago, seeing Susan K. and Nina W. working downtown on flowers at the intersections here and there.
One thing about Emporia and other Kansas towns is that people care and people DO. It’s a neat ethic.

I think those giant red Hibiscus flowers at that convenient store on 12th and Merchant, which Janet mentioned, are absolutely gorgeous. I have never seen a Hibiscus that that large or pretty.
When I was driving to ESU, I took a photo of those giant red hibiscus, but because I was driving, the photo’s not great. I’ll have to STOP and take a good picture. 🙂
