KAKE News has facts and video on the Greensburg tornado. Also video about damage near Macksville. I was stunned by the opening scene on the Macksville video which shows a bunch of stripped trees (not strip tease). The trees didn’t stand a chance against a 205 mph vacuum cleaner.

Do you have Minnesota connections? Fond of small town history? Check out St. Vincent Memories, a blog about a tiny town in a northern state. Trish Lewis’ site is today’s Minnesota’s Blog of the Day as named by City Pages.

The Cottonwood River is still way up. Higher than it was on Monday. South of Emporia on K-99, there’s a flagman and one-way traffic.

And former Emporian, Louis Copt, artist extraordinaire, has a smashing new and improved website – louiscopt.com.

Be sure to check out Louie’s e-cards – a classy way to send greetings. “High Plains Sundown” (one of the e-cards) is my current favorite Copt painting. If you’re not familiar with Louis and his work, I think I’ve written… yes I have written a couple of columns about him.
