“Oil Dorado,” a documentary film about the oil boom in El Dorado will premiere next Wednesday (March 21) on KPTS, public television in Wichita.

Yeah, PBS out of Wichita. Which means that we won’t be able to see it in Emporia, darn it.

But those of you in the Wichita area, be sure and tune in.

The documentary evolved from a pictorial history, “El Dorado: Legacy of an Oil Boom,” written by Dr. Jay Price, a history professor at Wichita State University.

  1. I’ve never been in that museum. Sometime when we’re down there….

I wonder if we get KPTS. Our locals come out of Wichita. We don’t get Topeka channels. If we get it, I’ll try to remember to watch it. That should be interesting. Madison was part of the oil boom.
