We certainly do have dramatic sunrises and sunsets in Kansas. When we lived in Emporia, part of the year, from our yard, the Sun set behind the steeple of Sacred Heart CHurch. Some evenings Larry would run in and call to me “SUNSET ALERT!” And we’d go stand in the yard together and watch. It was so magnificent sometimes.
Here the Sun sets behind a hill, so we miss the true drama. But our Sunrises are sometimes just amazing.
