At ESU this afternoon, President Michael Lane hosted the annual holiday tea for faculty and staff.
Since I have connections, I was able to slip in for a few photographs before the event.
The theme is Reflections on Seasons Past and old photographs decorate the tree and the tables. The KNS insignia stands for Kansas Normal School, the first name of the college.
Those are icicle lights hanging beneath the table skirt. Neat idea, huh? Rog is a decorating genius.
Two snow-covered Corky the Hornets (bronze work by John Forsythe) decorate what will become the food table.
The mural is a 1909 photo of a KSN student club (Omega Girls Debate and Literary Society) frolicking in the snow on frozen Lake Wooster before it was called that.
A photo on one of the tables: Barbershop Quartet of Kappa Sigma Epison.
Roger Heineken adds sparkles to one of the tables.
And he staples a gold band on a candle.

Thanks, Roger. I’ve added the info above now.
And, the theme was “Reflections on Seasons Past” in a nod to Emporia’s sesquicentennial.
