Cheryl, that was beautiful. Made me wistful.
Thanks, Janet.
I finally got to listen. There is safety in community. You need to make this a column, Cheryl.
Roger, it was a column – a few weeks ago… http://www.flyoverpeople.net/news/2012/08/07/a-return-to-mayberry/#comments
Well, I missed it. Or, did I. Doh! It’s H-E-double hockey sticks getting old.
roger, this aging thing ain’t all it’s cracked up to be sometimes. BUT, reading it, and hearing Cheryl tell it on the radio are two different things. I enjoyed reading it. I also doubly enjoyed hearing her read it. I think we use our own voice when we read, but to hear the writer’s voice adds different dimension. So, it really is like two different pieces of work, even though it is the same words. Or that’s how I see it anyway.
Thanks, Janet. Now I feel better.
Thank you so much, Cheryl. Sorry I’m late in saying so. When I was a kid, I thought that North Carolina looked like Southern California or vice versa(I wonder why!) Janet’s right – it made me wistful.
