Last week the Kansas Association of Broadcasters met at The Oread Hotel which is at the edge of the KU Campus in Lawrence. Because I’ve been on Kansas Public Radio occasionally, I was invited to attend a workshop presented by Al Tompkins of the Poynter Institute.
Al Tompkins’ workshop was great. He provided practical information about storytelling – “Aim for the Heart.” And he showed us lots of cool technology tools.
From the terraces at the hotel, there was a nice view of autumn treetops and the rooftops of Lawrence.
I think that red-roofed building is GSP, a residence hall.

Thanks for the photos of KU campus. It makes me miss KU in the fall. I always enjoyed walking and crunching to class amid all the colorful leaves.
I stayed at the Oread at a reading conference last fall/spring and it is a GREAT place! Made me think I was in Hogwarts!
