Dave and I went in search of The Great Pumpkin yesterday at Roga Pumpkin Patch west of Emporia. It might have been that we arrived at the tail end of pumpkin season and they were picked over or else the drought created a less than stellar year for pumpkins.

It was a gorgeous October day and there were pumpkin pickers out.

Carts were available for hauling kids and/or pumpkins.

There were good pumpkins to be found.

This one looked like it got punched in the gut.

The corn maze was only knee-high thanks to lack of moisture, but there was also a bale trail.

Families posed with this guy.

The weighing of the pumpkin.
