Erika Nelson (striped shirt) explains some of the things on Scout, her art car. But, there’s a lot to explain and the five of us were on our way to Luigi’s in Leavenworth to get there before they ran out of cannolis, so I’ll have to track down Erika again and get the full story on what everything means on her car.

Erika Nelson lives in….. you guessed it, Lucas, home of Grassroots Art.

When she’s not being a guest on The Conan O’Brien Show, she’s a practicing artist and traveler. Erika travels across the country seeking out the world’s largest things and then she creates tiny art replicas of them. She has a traveling museum of the World’s Largest Collection of the World’s Smallest Versions of the World’s Largest Things.

On the roof of Scout.

  1. When I saw her art car, I noticed the big nails on the carousel horses. She told me that so far children have all been too smart to want to sit on those. Her only problem that way has been large, drunk men. haha

I like that close up, hadn’t seen it, of salvation mountain in California. Very cool.
