A kind gentleman, and former Kansan, who now lives in Virginia posted a nice review of Flyover People this week over at Biblio’s Bloggins.

  1. This was so profound in the review of your book, Cheryl.
“My father and brothers still call Kansas home. My mother, sister and grandparents lie beneath its soil.”
Most of my own paternal family, now deceased, lie beneath Kansas soil, mostly together in community of our/my past.

I have visited a few pre-statehood cemeteries. I think about what they engendered, what they gave us.

  2. I agree with Roger about it being so profound in the review of your book. How impressive and so well penned. A special Thanks to this kind gentleman for expressing our sentiments as well. And . . . Thank You Cheryl for sharing this with us.

  3. Did stumble upon your blog by reading Prairy Erth.
Your life is comparable to mine allthough our villages are closer to eachother and there are more inhabitants, we do greet everybody even when I am out working in another province.
