From Today’s Emporia Gazette:

The annual Holiday Bazaar at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is being held from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Garden Room of the church. St. Mark’s is located at 1508 W. 12th in Emporia.

Featured will be an assortment of cookies, breads, jams and jellies, pies, snack items and candy, along with various arts and crafts items. Featured again this year will be the Youth Group’s homemade bierocks. The Men’s Group of the church also will be host, in the Fellowship Hall of the church, for their Sausage Gravy and Biscuit Breakfast plus beverage from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $2.50 each. Carry-out will be available.

Proceeds from the bazaar and breakfast will be used for special projects for the church.

  1. Thank you, Cheryl! How very kind and sweet of you to help us advertise (!) ….would you believe that here it is 1:20 a.m. and I am still baking cookies? (and bierocks–last year we ran out, so I’m baking a back-up batch.) I’ve made 2 double batches of sugar cookies, some frosted and some sprinkled, those almond bark–rice krispies, peanut butter, peanuts & marshmallows nobakes, chocolate crinkles and peanut butter with the chocolate kiss.
    the angels in the photo are to put your family name on the big star and then there are little stars to hang from the big star. I have my grandchildrens’ names and birthdays on the little stars–one is missing, though. I think the cats did something with it..those cats!
