Well, the wind stopped. Finally. Those 60 mph gusts beat on the house all night and kept me awake until about 3 a.m. Then came the thunderstorm and I heard some of that. This morning, it’s cloudy and wet.

I agree . . What a night! Our house was hot enough last night that we wanted the windows open. However, we shut all of them except our bedroom and bathroom windows. By 11 pm we were so tired of listening to the wind, we shut them and turned on the ceiling fan. When I looked out the window one of our young trees was swinging around just like a merry-go-round. I thought sure the wind would snap it at the bottom – but it is still there this morning. It sounds like it might be cloudy all day but I will take the clouds, rather than the wind.
