Wetlands, I understand, are valuable and necessary. There is one in Southern California at Seal Beach. Developers, for years, wanted to fill it in and develop it. A friend of mine back then, was part of a group who spearheaded protecting the wetlands. The developers finally won I believe, at least in part. I should look that up again.
There’s a small area of wetlands up around Morro Bay in California too. It’s beautiful. That is a protected area, thank goodness.
