On Saturday, headed down the highway, I had the radio tuned to a country oldies station. It was a matched set, a rainy day and sad country songs.
George Strait came on the radio, singing about an old flame … “You’ll always be a fire I can’t put out.”
Dave said, “I wonder if he’s tried hitting her with a shovel and throwing dirt on her?”

Now, if you know Dave, you know he’s not the hitting-a-woman-with-a-shovel kind of a guy. And that’s why he always makes me laugh. Things come out of his mouth that are so unexpected.
That IS funny! —and SO unlike Dave……I think…
LOL, yes, that IS funny. Larry sometimes says zingers that just crack me up. Probably because he’s so gentle.
Good one Dave! I thought George Strait was The Fireman, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2NFkCNIDxI Seems like he ought to know how to put out an old flame.
Has you wondering now, doesn’t she? I was just thinking back to what I learned in Boy Scouts safety class.
