I-35 snow

OK, so we have bunches of snow in town. The side streets have not been plowed and have 6-8 inches of snow on them. So, I was expecting lots of snow along I-35, but look, no piles of snow along the edges of the road. Guess there wasn’t much landing on the roadway – the wind blew the snow somewhere. Maybe it all landed in town.

Sixth street

Verdict – the area highways are fine. The main streets in Emporia are fine. Residential streets are a mess.

This photo is a little misleading. It looks like a pile at the side of the street, but most of the snow was actually piled in the center of the street and then hauled away.
