I’m smelling the aroma of pot roast cooking in the crockpot. Acorn squash in the oven.

Zorro, the neighbor’s cat, rushes in when the door is open. He doesn’t live here. (Ha.) Zorro is Mr. Mellow. He used to be happy on a blanket on the couch. But now he’s taken to stealing my recliner. If I’m in the recliner, he steals my computer chair. That’s Tiger’s trick.

Took in two bags of books to the library, a donation for their next book sale. Have been slowly decluttering around here. There are still too many books I’m not willing to get rid of.

I decided to do some writing at the library. I tried numerous times this summer to write at the library, but it was always too freakin’ cold. Today, being cold OUTSIDE, 50 degrees, I thought maybe they’d have turned off the AC and turned on the furnace. I sat in one of the quiet study rooms for about 15 minutes with cold air blowing out of the vent on me.

Now, I think I’m dressed warmly enough. I have on a thick insulated long-sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt over that and a hooded sweatshirt over that. I had to put the hood up on it.  While I was writing, I had to sit on my other hand. My hands were icy.

Gave up on that room and sat in the open library which was a bit warmer, but still too cold to be comfortable. I came home, moved a cat, and sat in my recliner next to the space heater.
