Well, this is interesting.

National Geographic’s Traveler magazine’s has a top 10 list of Best Fall Foliage tours.

One of the Kansas Scenic Byways made the list.

When I heard that I thought – it must be either the Flint Hills Scenic Byway or the Native Stone Scenic Byway, but no.

  1. Personally I was thinking of the scenic area around Mound City and Pleasanton and La Cygnes waterfowl preserve. But nothing surprizes me. What about Kansas isn’t pretty in any season.

  3. I looked up the Wetlands Byway site so I could see some pictures. Really beautiful. 650 species of birds in the US and 417 of them are in Kansas. Wow! Get out the binoculars. Do any of you get out there to see the migrations?
