As it has every evening since 1873, the Chase County Courthouse watches over Cottonwood Falls and its people.
Saturday night music brought a crowd to town.

I’ve always liked Cottonwood Falls. Thanks to you and Dave for the recent pictures.
Looks like a sit-in.
A lawn chair moratorium sit-in.
Wonder if the protest was pro-yodel or anti-yodel?
It was a hawkish yodel group.
Dang! We were passing through Cottonwood Falls on 177 at just about that time on our way home from Manhattan Saturday evening.
Dave and I stumbled onto it. We were returning home from Camp Wood and I asked Dave if he wanted to “drag the gut” in Cottonwood. We tried to cruise down Broadway, but there were all these people in the way.
We used to go to the street entertainment when we had our store in Cottonwood Falls. Flips used to be in quite a few of the shows – or entertainment. Sue (at the Emma Chase) works very hard to keep these going. Your photos are wonderful!
Doesn’t look like a real “rowdy” crowd….and I’ve seen rowdy crowds in C.F.
