Great post. You find the best stuff to publish! I am very interested in throwing my hat into the We Kan ring. Any suggestions? I am going to also talk to my mother-in-law about getting involved. Should be going back to Thomas Co. in July. Hope all is well (and cooler!) with you.

Expat, this is their pilot project. But what the KS Sampler Foundation intends to do in the future, is set up a system, a website of matching “needs” with “support.” People will be able to see a list of things that need done/donated and they can donate time/money/work/stuff.
So, yay you – for wanting to help! We’ll make Kansas your adopted homeland yet.
What a wonderful idea! More towns in Kansas should do this! Garnett can start at my house!
I like that mural. It makes me want to go there and have pie and coffee.
As one of the Saturday volunteers, I can attest to the energy, enthusiasm and excitement that was shared throughout the entire corps of volunteers–it was a great time! Can’t wait to return to Whiting for some pie and to see the results of all of the hard work!
