I kind of like how he signed off:
“Hang in there,
Mark.”
Just like any ol’ friend.

That was funny, and now, I have a new appreciation of our “new” governor! Hope he “hangs in there.”
Funny! He sounds like a down to earth, nice kinda guy! We’ll see he measures up in the smarts department.
I just read your Governor’s blog entry, and was moved to send off an appreciative email to him.
Sometimes I just get flat homesick for the midwest, and I was feeling it when I read that blog. I’m tired of hyper-partisanship and narcissism and expediency, and I’m especially tired of politicians who assume an air of entitlement. (I’m also tired of our governor telling us Texans we should secede from the union, but that’s another issue.)
I have a friend who has a decorative porch flag she bought in Minnesota – it has a big, beautiful tuna hot dish on it. I believe I’m going to make her find it, and then I’ll fly it. And I may make some lime jello with cottage cheese and crushed pineapple, just for good measure!
Midwesterners (and at least one of their governors) rock!
