Arkansas Elk

Elk have been reintroduced to Northern Arkansas. There’s a nice education center (that’s not it in the background.)

And just up the road, around the corner, were a gob of elk, about 25-30 or so. We got a bunch of elk-butt shots. Apparently their rear ends are a well-recognized and appreciated feature – because in the Elk Education Center they had a container of chocolate elk butt candy, the shape and color as seen above. I’m not kidding. I’d have bought some, but ewww.
