I noticed this sign on the old Pizza Hut building on Sixth Street in Emporia on Sunday. Another new restaurant in town?
We have the new Asian place on Commercial – and a new sushi place is opening near Subway on 12th Ave. And there’s a sign on the former Three Fools building on East Sixth which suggests that a catering business is going in there.
Considering that Tyson cut 1,800 jobs a year ago and considering that the country is in a full-blown recession, Emporia is hanging in there.
Isn’t there a new bakery across the street (south) from Amanda’s too? Perhaps you have already told about it and I didn’t see it. Amanda said that they specialize in cakes, but have other things in there too. She had a cup cake.
That bakery has been there for quite a while – months? a year? But I haven’t been in it.
Oh! I just saw it for the first time 2 or 3 weeks ago. Little slow, right?
Yum! I like Italian! I need to move to Emporia. Wait if I moved to emporia with all the great places to eat, I’d have to roll around from place to place, I’d get soooo round!
Now this was the Pizza Hut I was looking for when we went to Pizza Ranch and I got lost.
