Michael Halleran was at Town Crier’s Author Extravaganza on Saturday.

He has pieces published in two outdoors books, Reverse Points: Bird Dogs Reconsidered and The Great Duck Misunderstanding and Other Stories.

He also writes columns for the Scottish Rite Journal and the Upland Almanac.

Halleran is the 5th Judicial District Court Trustee. He grew up in Lawrence, and even though he misses Indian restaurants, Halleran actually prefers living in Emporia.

“Emporia is a nice, straightforward, unassuming, honest small town,” he said.

  1. Say, he’s cute! Is he married? I have a single daughter…….

😉 I’m just making a joke. Well, I DO have a single daughter, but I’m not a good match maker. But just in case, thought I’d ask. LOL

I wish we could have gone to so many things Saturday. Missed the Symphony again. We were going to try to hit the book signing and Madison Days, both. But somehow God saw fit to deposit a needy little kitten on our front door, so we spent a lot of time at the veterinarians office Saturday Morning. Then went and looked at lawn mowers.

Missed all the cool stuff that happened Saturday. Well, except finding this wee little one on our front porch was cool. Today it gets blood tests to see if we can keep him or not.
