On Sunday, Tom Eblen helped man the W. A. White booth. He spent 15 1/2 years as adviser of the University Daily Kansan, the K.U. student newspaper. Eblen now is a consultant to newspapers, offering critiques, editorial and newsroom advice. Eblen serves as president of the WAWCPI.

Roger Heineken, chairman of the Program and Promotion Committee, and John Mallon, board member of the WAWCPI, also gave information to the public about Emporia’s state historic site, the William Allen White House.

John Mallon is a well-known man about town, a businessman and a building contractor. Lately though, many tend to think of him as “Amanda’s dad.”

Roger, local WAW historian, is currently planning June’s “On the Porch” series for the W.A. White House.
