Featuring Flyover Friend elebrown!

I had no idea that elebrown was so crafty. But she is. She had made Christmas ornaments galore!

These flying Christmas angels are like little eles!

The delightful elebrown, Eleanor Browning. I’ll bet she decorated the sweatshirt she’s wearing. (By the way, Ele and Janice Romeiser were the ones who started the Read to Your Bunny program for newborns this year.)

“You had to kill a lot of puzzles to make these (pins),” I said.

“Yes, I did,” ele said. “And I had to put the puzzles together first, too.”

But – ele didn’t make everything at the bazaar. There was LOTS of stuff there. Those parishioners have been working hard, baking and putting together jars of dried ingredients for soup and cookies and everything. What an assortment and beautiful display.

But the snow was keeping people away. There wasn’t much of a crowd when I was there earlier.

This was the table that got my attention: Build a plate of cookies. And I did. Yum.

The bazaar is open until 2 p.m. today.

Stop by if you live in town and are out and about. The church is, I think, in the 1400 block of W. 12th. (Just west of the hospital on the north side of the street.)

  1. Ele, those are wonderful ornaments and pins. How clever you are.

You know, back when I used to make dolls, we used to always say that people always seemed to make dolls that reflected themselves. A teacher I had once for polymer clay dolls (never had one for cloth dolls) made these marvelous dolls, all different sorts. Now, the teacher didn’t look like a small child or an ancient lady or an elf. But every single doll she made had that sweet expression, just like hers. I could recognize her dolls every time.

Anyway Ele, some of those ornaments reflect your wonderful smile and sweet self.

  2. Thank you, Cheryl! We did have at least one customer who came in after seeing the photos on this site! (well, it was Mr. Greenjeans all the way from Madison!)
Thank you for the kind words, Janet. I do enjoy crafting; it’s my therapy! hahaha
We did have a pretty good sale, surprisingly, because of the snow and since this is the first time we’ve done this. We didn’t have a lot of people, but those who came, did buy!
I need to apologize to Cheryl–I thought the wassail would be free and thought I was making it, but then someone else did, and it was 50 cents (but well worth it, I thought).
We left all there and will have time for buying after church (about 10:15) until noon, just in case someone needs more cookies……
We had homemade ice cream–chocolate and butterfinger, too I had the butterfinger (for lunch) and it was yummmmmmy!
