Opening sometime in the next couple of weeks is Amanda’s Bakery and Cafe in this front corner of the Kress Building. Amanda bakes a pretty good chocolate cake – so I’m looking forward to frequenting her cafe.

Are plans still in place to use some of Dave’s photographs?
The place is looking really pretty. Yes, there will be several of my prints on the walls. I’m picking some that capture the feeling of light that the bakery has, so there will be lots of Kansas skies. Also, a mural of my rainbow is above the front of the store. I think it looks pretty nice up there.
Did I hear someone say CHOCOLATE CAKE??
Can’t count on the cake back here, but will be expecting photos of the exterior and interior of the bakery when it gets going.

We stopped at the Hartford, Ks. bakery Sat. morning——& the cinnamon rolls were not out of the oven yet– so we had almond crescents that were fabulous!!!!!! Hartford is so blessed to have that bakery in town! Everything she makes there is wonderful!!!!!!!!!
