Dave chases down water towers (view Dave’s water tower collection) and so we stopped in Cherokee. Most of the time I leave the water-tower-picture-taking to Dave, but this one, I had to shoot also.
Looks kinda like a lighthouse, huh?
Cherokee Water Works 1896. Built by Fairbanks Morse & Co. Kansas City, MO. J.A. Haskett, Engr.
There was the strongest odor of sulfur around the tower.
DO you have any idea why there’s be the odor of sulphur?
I’d love to see something in that theater. I love community theater and wish we had one here in Madison.

Probably they have sulphur in their water there———
We once had a well that smelled so strong of sulphur it made me sick—–we had the water tested many times—-& it was safe to use-it just had a very strong sulphur smell——-I didn’t use it to drink or cook with—but used it on the garden & to water the livestock with! I couldn’t stand the smell!!!!!!!!!!
