The prize-winning photos of the Emporia Camera Club are on display for a couple months in the Skyline Room at ESU. These pictures won ribbons at the Camera Club showing this summer and/or the Lyon County Fair. Our Dave has six photos here.

  1. Wow! I can see right now that we are going to have to go to the Skyline Room. Not only for probably the best food in town, but what a view! I didn’t know there was such a view here at ESU.
Dave, do you have a category that shows “Winning Pictures”? I didn’t get to see them at the fair and they will probably be taken down at the Skyline Room by the time we get to go there. As far as I’m concerned, all your photo’s would win ribbons, but I am curious to know which one’s won what.

  2. O Boy! Eleanor and Janice will be talking to the Flint Hills Optimists about the Read to Your Bunny program this Thursday and we’l be getting to eat this:
    New England linguini and clams
    Boston salt and vinegar chips
    Steamed vegetables old bay
Porcini crusted beef exotic mushroom ragout
    Buttered bow tie pasta
    Display: Chicken gorgonzola jalapeno

    Yum!

This is way way way way way better than what they fed Cheryl P. and me at a Rotary meeting at the country club (I don’t even know how to describe the lunch time buffet selections there!).

  3. Dave’s photos of the Drinkwater Schriver Mill at Cedar Point are totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Just awesome!!!!!!!!!

I have been taking pictures of that mill every season on a regular basis for about 15 years now– I have a total fascination with that mill— & it just draws me like a magnet———-
But those pictures are just awesome!!!!!!!!

Thank you Dave——-you let me see one of my very favorite places in this world with new eyes!!!!!
