There’s my friend, Ele, sitting at the desk. This is the League of Women Voters float.

Emporia firefighters provided a cool place to play at the street festival.

  1. Sorry, Roger, I didn’t see you! I was trying to see people on both sides of the street AND make sure the sweet little children did NOT drop the laptops (or fall off the float), and why didn’t someone tell me to comb my hair?!
Notice the “Future” sign–I made the signs for the float, which was supposed to show voting in the past (the voting booths), present (touch machines, which Karen was hanging on to!) and future (?computers). I was surprised at how many people were there! (I figured that we were all in the parade and nobody would be watching!)

  2. hee-hee. That was a really cute girl in the convertible.

Peggy was in a float instead of in her car. I think she was on a Republican Float.

  3. Oh darn, I was going to say that Peggy Mast looks a lot younger than last time I saw her. LOL Ah well.

Ele, wish I’d seen you in person, I’d have waved too.

Looks like you had a nice day for a parade.
