… is thank the good heavens above that the ice cream vendor is now playing new music from his vehicle which cruises the streets of Emporia.
After three years of hearing the incessant and incongruent La Cucharacha, I was prepared to squash that bug!

Oh gosh, that’s even worse than the truck that cruises our neighborhood, playing “The Entertainer” until I could pull my hair out. Whatever happened to the ice cream trucks that had the little bell that the driver had to ring? After all, the only purpose is to get people’s attention, not put them over the edge!
Uh oh, one of his new songs is “The Entertainer.”
ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
I hope that one doesn’t get stuck in the megaphone.
Because I live near the campus, there are few children in the neighborhood, college housing. Fortunately, the truck rarely drives in my neighborhood.
Two weeks ago during the “Readings on the Porch” on the topic of Mary White, the ice cream truck playing the Scott Joplin “Entertainer.” It was an amusing interruption in that the music was of the era being discussed.
One of the benefits of living in the boonies is NO ice cream trucks!!!!!!! 🙂
(Sigh) . . . I hope there’s no Cucharacha in my future.
