The first stop on yesterday’s Emporia Garden Tour (sponsored by the Lyon County Extension Master Gardeners) was at Mike and Ann Scheller’s residence.

In addition to vegetables and flowers, the Schellers also had this beautiful waterfall and water garden.

Wade and Wilma Malone have a gorgeous yard, front and back. These daylillies help brighten the place.

Each of the many flower beds in Carrol and Carolyn Koch’s yard has interesting details – including lots of ceramic frogs.

There was plenty to look at on the ground at Gene and Tammi Wirsig’s residence, but I think the tree house grabbed everyone’s attention first.

Tim and Kristi Mohn own Flint Hills Music in downtown Emporia. This is what you can do if you have a few beat-up old brass instruments lying around.

At Howe House, the Lyon County Master Gardeners have a demonstration vegetable garden.

Warm thanks go to Tracey Graham who gave us tickets for the tour.
