Monday evening
April 2, at 7 p.m.
ESU will host”Keeping Their Memory Alive: A Night in Bleeding Kansas.” The event will be in Webb Lecture Hall in ESU’s Memorial Union.
Historical performances will be given by Joyce Thierer and Ann Birney of Ride Into History. Grady Atwater will give the Keynote Address.
All proceeds will benefit the John Brown State Historical Site in Osawatomie to aid in the repair of the Elmdale and Oakwood Cemeteries and the John Brown Statue, all of which were severely damaged in recent acts of vandalism.
A raffle will be held during intermission. A question and answer session will immediately follow the presentation.
Suggested donation: $2 students, $5 non-students.
Above is Grady Atwater giving a tour of the John Brown Museum last January. Grady Atwater has a Master’s in History from ESU, studying, of course, John Brown.
